About Bruno

Bruno DiFabio is a career restaurant, television personality, competitive pizza maker, consultant, and wild food forager whose career spans 27 years. By age sixteen, he was the lead saute at the biggest restaurant on the west side of Manhattan, 

Tony’s Italian Kitchen. The first in his family to graduate from college, he quickly gravitated back to foodservice. Opening his first restaurant at the age of 24, in Scarsdale, NY. Bruno has owned and operated over 30 restaurants nationally and in London as well. 

A veteran of the Food Network, he has been featured and has contributed to their programming for years, most recently as a judge on the show Chopped. Known as “the pizza geek” he is a relied upon guest for the Today Show, GMA, Access Hollywood, Fox & Friends, with countless appearances locally and abroad.

He has proudly prevailed against the best competition in the world

Acknowledged for his authentic Neapolitan pizza, the Vera Pizza Napoletana Association of Naples, Italy has certified his membership amongst the finest pizzaioli in the world and one of the few in the United States.

Consulting on average 3 to 4 openings per year, he is a strong advocate for the advancement of the independent pizza chef, pizza maker and restauranteur. Bruno has consulted for the Landmark Hotel in Amman, Jordan, the & Pizza brand in Washington, Umberto’s of Long Island, Pizza Nova in Lima, Peru, Aiello’s in Pittsburgh and Mootz in Detroit to name a few.
